As you drive through the neighborhood, you may see PALS vans driving around and wonder what they do. PALS wants to be involved in the neighborhood and help where they can.
Here’s a quick summary from our friend Corey Ohalek at PALS:
PALS a Chrysalis Health Company, LLC has been creating unimaginable opportunities for adults with disabilities since we opened our doors in 2012. At PALS, we build on the foundation of physical activity and life skills (PALS) and offer numerous person-centered programs designed to create opportunities and success for our individuals. Our programs offer individuals the necessary tools they need to be active members of the community and maintain a high quality of life.
We have 6 in-person care centers and offer in-home care in the Columbus and Gallia areas. Our goal is to have individuals in our care be active participants in the communities where they live. Our In-Person Care focuses on a holistic care plan that meets our individuals’ unique needs. Programming is choice-based offering community outings, education services and vocational services. The Vocational Habilitation Program provides our individuals with the opportunity to learn job skills and perform various jobs throughout the community. Our in-home, residential programs offer individuals the care they need in the comfort of their own home. We provide dedicated, quality care for individuals with a customized plan that fits their needs and lifestyle. The goal is to support their needs so they can live productive lives in their home and their community. Our Columbus-based art program, Art Outside the Lines, offers individuals the opportunity to harness their creativity, learn new art-focused skills, build their portfolio, and show their art.
