July 4 – Northland Fourth of July Parade – This is free to attend and even free to participate in, if you are a community group! A family or club can walk in the parade, ride bikes, or ride in a car or make a float. This year’s theme is Stronger Together. More information and entry forms are here. You can also stand along Karl Road and watch the parade.
July 15 – 2PM Community “Pop-Up Festival” at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ at Sunbury and Watt Roads. Flyer is here. Music, food and vendors!
July 15 – 6PM Concert in the Park with our neighbors in Huber Ridge (across 161 on Buenos Aires). Band: The Usual Suspects. Each concert is packed with free food, music, and fun! Bring your family and friends and lounge on your blanket or chairs while you enjoy all the concert offers. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and happen rain or shine.
Aug 8 – The Northland Community Council Picnic is Aug 8 at 6:30p at Blendon Woods Dogwood Shelter – all are welcome – bring a side dish. Burgers and hotdogs are provided. The NCC is the umbrella organization over all of the civic and neighborhood associations in all of the 25 square miles of Northland. Strawberry Farms is a member organization, and therefore YOU are invited to this free event!
Aug 8 – Special Election – Check your voter registration records … your polling place may have moved conveniently to the church at Sunbury and Watt roads, which is a new polling place! This is an important election determining how statewide referendums will work going forward.
