Neighborhood Wine & Cheese Info Meeting Tues 1/31 7PM
January 26, 2017Strawberry Farms Meeting Notes
February 13, 2017Our Strawberry Farms Civic Association President, Alice Foeller, attended the Northland Community Council’s February meeting on behalf of our neighborhood.
News to report includes:
- There is a Northside Health Advisory group that is meeting monthly on the 4th Thursday at the community meeting room at the new Morse Road Kroger at 6 p.m. We would like one resident from our neighborhood who has interest, training or experience in health care or public health to please attend these meetings on behalf of our neighborhood and report back.
- The Giant Eagle on 161 near I-71 is one of the Giant Eagle’s scheduled to close. Between that and the Meijer closing, there is concern about grocery store access in the area. However, since the area is on the upswing and population continues to grow, another store of some kind is likely to move in. The renovated and larger Kroger on Morse Road is doing well.
- The NCC Banquet is April 12 and costs $30 to attend. If you would like to attend from our neighborhood, please reply to this email or send a note through the website.
- COTA is changing their bus routes and schedules, and soon the coverings will come off the bus stop signs, and they will show the new information.
- The Northland Area Business Association 161 Task Force (http://www.naba161taskforce.org/) has a cleanup scheduled for April 8.
- All residents are encouraged to stop patronizing 3C Liquor Store on Westerville Road. The Northland Community Council stated they have not been cooperative with the community or the Development Committee. (4436 Westerville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231).
- Free computer classes are being offered at the Karl Road branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
