Beginning as soon as the weather is suitable for construction to occur, Strawberry Farms Park will see the following improvements:

Marden Court Entry Area

  • New Curb Ramp
  • Asphalt overlay of path from Marden Court to the Loop Path
  • Wood fence to screen port-a-john
  • Half-court basketball
  • New bench
  • Additional tree plantings

Playground Area

  • Removal of enclosed portion of the shelter for improved visibility and safety
  • New playground structure designed for 2-5 year olds
  • Tot seats added to existing swing frame
  • New tire swing
  • New handicap accessible picnic table
  • New bench
  • Additional tree plantings

Watt Road Entry Area

  • Replace wood timber steps
  • Boulders at base of path to help with run off
  • New drain pipes installed under path to help with run off
  • Asphalt overlay on path from stairs to playground

The work should be completed by early Summer.  The park is to remain open throughout the duration of the work, although certain portions of path or amenities may be closed at any one time.  If residents are using the park while work is under way, they should be aware and careful to avoid any active construction.
